Elementary Age Programs


The Children's Library offers a variety of programs for elementary aged children. To sign up for any of the upcoming sessions of these programs, visit the Programs & Events page.

That Art Thing

This program is designed for elementary age (K-5) children to discover their inner artist and unleash their creativity. We will explore various art techniques, learn about artists both past and present and, in each session, create an original work of art.

Science Saturday

Are you curious about science, love doing experiments, and like to learn how things work? Grown ups and kids can enjoy science experiments together - join us for our new online program, Science Saturday! 

Virtual Chefs

Get the family in the kitchen and celebrate the art & science of cooking! This virtual program is designed for elementary children to do at home with their guardians. Sign up, pick up the supplies at your library, and then join in the online program and cook together.


Each STEAM Club features a different Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Mathematics activity. This program is intended for grades K-5. You can pick up supplies at the branch of your choice the week prior to the program. Sign up to receive information about how to join our secure meeting. Can't make the designated time, don't worry. You can catch the recorded program by following the link sent to your email.

Library Lions

An Afterschool program for grades K-5 that meets on Thursdays. Each week features a different activity! Sign up on the calendar for more details.

Lil Explorers

A program for 2-4 year olds designed to promote curiosity and exploration through hands on activities. Topics rotate on a monthly basis and include:

Movers and Shakers (music and movement); Hard, Soft, Squishy, Crumbly (texture exploration); What goes up…( baby physics, Ramps and pathways…etc);

Sea to Sky and everything in between (toddler science)
