COVID-19 information

The Library is open to in-person service! Please follow CDC guidance when in the building. For unvaccinated individuals, the CDC recommends the following:

• Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth to help protect yourself and others.
• Stay 6 feet apart from others who don’t live with you.
• Get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is available to you.
• Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available.

For the safety of library patrons and the community at large, the Oldham County Public Library Board of Trustees ask that unvaccinated individuals follow this guidance. Be aware of the personal space of other individuals using the library, and please follow staff guidance when inside the building.

Library hours are Monday-Thursday 10am-7pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm.

Browsing by Appointment

Immunocompromised individuals who are concerned about health safety may now request private browsing time in the hour before the library opens (9-10am). This is by appointment only! To request an appointment, please select the library name of the library you are interested in visiting from the link below and fill out a short form.

Digital Services

All patrons are also encouraged to take advantage of OCPL’s many digital offerings, such as ebooks and audiobooks available through Kentucky Libraries Unbound, RBDigital, and the free online education available through Universal Class. Please note: the Overdrive checkout limit has temporarily been increased to 20 items at a time.

Curbside and Drive Thru Service

You can place holds on items in the OCPL catalog for pick up via drive-thru at the LaGrange Library, or via curbside delivery at the South Oldham or Goshen Library. Drive-thru and curbside hours are available during our current operating hours.

• Please make sure to follow signs for instructions at your designated pick up location
• The way we handle holds has been changed to offer better protection for both staff and patrons! Please note that this may cause a delay in times between when you place a hold and when you receive notification that items are available for pick up. Thank you for your patience while we strive to serve you!
• We are not accepting donations at this time.
