County Challenge Walk

Sep 01, 2021

TOTAL STEPS FOR 2021: 10,302,873

WOW! That's a lot of walking! The challenge for 2021 has now ended, but Oldham Countians knocked it out of the park.

Help Oldham County Reclaim the County Walk Challenge Trophy This Year!

September is officially STEPtember as Oldham County participates in the Annual County Walk Challenge. Record your steps from September 1st-30th and report them via the form below. All the county's steps for the month will count towards our total, which will be compared to the total steps of our neighboring counties.

But this isn't just about winning a trophy and having pride in our county's healthy lifestyle! Walking is an easy way to exercise that can add years to your life. It's free, you can do it anywhere, and it's a great way to spend time with your family or friends. You can also win prizes for recording your steps!

Participating in the challenge walk is easy, and open to all ages. Simply record your steps via your preferred method. You can use your digital fitness tracker, or the paper log provided. If you don't have a fitness tracker and aren't sure how to record your steps, you can stop by any Oldham County Library location starting on September 1st and pick up a free walking kit including a pedometer to keep! Then, submit your steps via this form:

Submitting your steps enters you in the prize drawings (for a FitBit and other prizes), which will be announced on October 5th.
