The Summer Reading Program for 2020

This year, the OCPL Summer Reading Program is coming to you! The week of June 1st, activities books will be mailed to every household in Oldham County with a child under 12. These 44-page booklets are your reading logs! Each page is a different day, with a different activity. The front of the booklet is designed for children ages 3-12. The back of the booklet is for parents with children under 3. It's filled with activities and early literacy skills from the Every Child Ready to Read curriculum. Children can complete the pages of the activity book in any order, and when finished, their adult can fill out the online completion form (see below). For completing the SRP, children earn a brag-tag chain kit and can choose a free book from a list of selected titles! Instruction on how to pick up prizes will be available when the completion portal opens (June 30).

If you have an OCPL library card, but don't live in Oldham County, or if you have more than one child in your household, don't worry! Starting June 8th you can sign up to have copies of the activity booklet mailed to you directly.
