Janet K. Lee
Janet K. Lee is an artist living in Nashville, Tennessee. Her debut book, RETURN OF THE DAPPER MEN, was co-created with writer Jim McCann and won an Eisner Award in 2011. Since then, Janet has also worked on projects like Jane Austen's EMMA and NORTHANGER ABBEY for Marvel and casino-heist-space-opera LOST VEGAS (again with Jim McCann) for Image. In addition, she has contributed to numerous anthologies, the most recent of which was Marvelís ONE UPON A TIME: OUT OF THE PAST. Right now, Janet is working on an illustrated Pride & Prejudice novel and TIME OF THE DAPPER MEN, volume 2 of the Dapper Men trilogy. Take a look at some of Janet's work here.

David Bjarnson
David is a local artist residing in La Grange, KY. He produces a comic strip titled "Outer Field" that follows the same format as something you would read in a newspaper (if you still read that way). He is currently illustrating a collaborative project with writer Jon Hamilton which he will debut for his second appearance at OC3.

Tressina Bowling
Tressina is a Kentucky based artist who's tools of the trade are mostly pencils, inks and Copic Markers. Her work can be seen on TressinaArt.blogspot.com and her comic Dracullama can be found at dracullama.com.

Kevlen Goodner
Kevlen Goodner. Kevlen is a freelance illustrator for Louisville Magazine. He also serves as creative visual director at Eureka Comic Labs, which he co-founded. A skilled designer and illustrator known for his realistic interpretations of superhero characters, Kevlen has built a reputation as both a gifted visual storyteller and draftsman. Kevlen is also an experienced teacher and public speaker. He continues to share his message of the importance of the creative mind in our culture with audiences all over the world. Jonathan Matthews
Jonathan Matthews is a collectibles sculptor who has worked for DC Collectibles for over a decade. He specializes in action figures and collectible statues and his work can be found at your favorite local comic shop. Some of his recent works include DCís designer series of action figures based on the designs of comic artists Greg Capullo, Jae Lee, Darwyn Cooke. Jonathan is also the sculptor behind many Batman Black and White statue favorites such as Mike Mignola, Sean Murphy, and Bruce Timm. Len Wallace
Len is a writer with nearly 10 years as a writer in the comic book industry with credits to his name from Image Comics, Grayhaven Comics, Ronin Studios, and a contributor to Dreamworks SKG and Ape Entertainmentís Kung-Fu Panda comic line. His first full length graphic novel, Love Buzz, was published with artists Michelle Silva, Dave Tuney, and Thomas Mauer by Oni Press in early 2010.

Louisville Cartoonist Society
The Louisville Cartoonist Society (LCS) is a group of local comic book creators working together to grow the Louisville comic book scene. The LCS has just released their latest comic book project, "Tall Tales & Little Lies: A Fantasy Themed Comic Book Anthology". It features 17 fantasy stories by 32 Louisville-area creators. This is the group's most ambitious project yet, at over 150 pages of full color art and sequential storytelling. The book was made possible due to successful funding on Kickstarter and was featured as a Kickstarter Staff Pick. Creators unite!

Closplay Contest

Cosplay enthusiasts of all age are invited to participate in the OC3 Cosplay Contest & showcase! Register between 9:30am- 1pm at the Corn Island booth and sign up for your pre-judging time slot. Commemorate your cosplay creation with a free photo-shoot with a professional photographer when you register! All participants competing for prizes MUST attend their designated pre-judging session before the showcase in order to be eligible. Prizes include gift certificates to local costuming shops, craft stores, and book stores. The costume showcase will be held in the Meeting Room from 2pm-3pm, and winners will be announced then. There are three aged based categories for the competition: ages 7 & under; ages 8-15; and ages 16-adult.

Corn Island Steampunk Society
The Corn Island Steampunk Society is an active Adventurers club for local Steampunk Enthusiasts, Time Travelers, Airship Pirates, Neo-Victorians, Retro Historians, Space Cowboys, Artists, Writers and Adventurers in Louisville, Ky and surrounding areas in southern Indiana and parts of Ohio.

Panels & Activities

Kid’s Activity Area, 10-4pm: Stop by the Children’s activity room to design your own superhero mask! Try out your superhero powers on the obstacle course.

Food Vendors & Lunch Pavilion, 10-4pm: Grab a bite to eat from one of the local food vendors, located outside the library, in the drive-thru. Hometown Pizza, Celtic Pig BBQ & SugarSpun Cotton Candy will all be on hand to purchase food from. There is a pavilion to take a break & enjoy your meal.

Open Gaming Area, 9:30-4:30pm: Open gaming available throughout the day. Check out pick-up games of your favorite table top games, card games, and more. Try out HeroClix with a special demo run by one of the OC3 vendors.

Silent Auction, 9:30-3pm: Place bids on special items donated by sponsors and vendors! All proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Library’s graphic novel collection. Register for a bidder’s ID number at the Front Desk. Auction closes and winners notified at 3pm. You must be in attendance to claim & purchase your bid at that time.

Artist Panel, 11-Noon: Interested in publishing your own comic or book? Learn from the professionals! Hear how professional artists  got started, and have a chance to ask your own questions about the publishing process.

Pixel Brain Productions, 1-2pm: Join Pixel Brain Productions as they screen the latest episodes of their brand new web series, Bagged and Bored. It features comic store owner, Kent Carney and his infinite retail struggles; consisting of crazy customers, off beat employees, an evil ex-girlfriend, and plenty of random pop culture references. Bagged and Bored is shot locally at The Destination comic book store in Louisville Kentucky, and stars an amazing group of talented actors and comedians. After the screening there will be a Q&A with cast and crew.

Costume Showcase, 2-3pm: Show off your skills with the Cosplay Contest sponsored by Corn Island Steampunk Society. Watch as all the contestants present their cosplay creations, and see which costumes win!

Author Talk, 3-4pm: Hear from local authors about their writing, publishing process & more!
